How's this better than print-to-pdf? I'd sure rather have text I could copy/paste than an image..
I agree, that for archival purposes PDF is a better bet as it's searchable by spotlight etc. However if you are doing web development and need to grab some quick screen captures for samples this seems like a neat little utility. It's also a handy way to see how your site scales (width-wise) to different minimal resolutions if you want to check for unexpected wrapping of visual or text elements.
